The Grateful Days of Summer: The Experience

We're two weeks away from our summer celebration. This event is a total passion project for me. I knew I wanted to celebrate the idea of connection, gratitude, paying it forward, and the list goes on, and I can't wait until we're all together, having fun in the FL sun (tip: wear shorts), sipping on a cocktail, and doing just that. Read below for more on what we envision at The Grateful Days of Summer.

Hosted at Shelborne, the day will start with a beautiful art installation by Chloe Schlemer, which will have an interactive component for you to add your own thoughts about what you are grateful for as you enter the event (how awesome is that). Bake Bar's sweet bites and complementary cocktails will be on hand too.

The creative nail ladies from Luv Nail Shop will provide celebratory nail art, and Taudrey will be on site with their beautiful, handmade jewelry.

All along, artists from Backroom Sessions will be playing tunes, with a special guest performance by some of the students from Guitars Over Guns, while Vanessa Velez captures every beautiful moment.

At the pop-up studios, we are going to make waves in our community in three amazing ways. House of Lilac will lead a bouquet styling session, which will then be donated to residents at Abbey Delray. At the second pop-up, guests will write letters of encouragement and inspiration to 10 South Floridians struggling with depression through Letters Against Depression. Finally, the gang at Scentsability will host a painting session on candle tumblers, which will later be donated to spouses whose partners are serving overseas with our military.

And, most important of all, all of this -- the fun, the drinks, the food -- will benefit our local community. Monetary donations will go to Guitars Over Guns, a non-profit hosting music mentoring programs in our local community. We can't wait to see you!
